I was truly ‘born to be a Realtor’ but did not know it until 1989.  Once I received that revelation, I was off and running.  When I received my real estate license that year, I just jumped right in and have never stopped.  I immediately realized that I needed more education and have never stopped that either. 

First I obtained the GRI, graduate of the Real Estate Institute.  This education taught me how to provide a higher level of professional service in the many different areas of a real estate transaction and the importance of that service to a client.

Secondly, I obtained my Broker’s license after being in the business for about two and a half years.  I began my own business and realized after just over 15 years that I wanted to devote all my time to my clients rather than my business and joined Sky Realty due to the business expertise of it’s owners.  They love what they do and I really enjoy being able to focus 100% on my clients. 

I also hold the ABR designation (Accredited Buyer Agent).  This education delved deeply into representing a Buyer.  With all the many facets of representing a Buyer, a Realtor with this designation is very qualified to protect and serve a client.

With our technology today, I felt that it was very important to dig deeper into this area in order to communicate better with clients and serve their needs more expediently and more efficiently.  I hold the e-PRO designation which allows me to work with clients far and near through technology.

And, last but not least, I have earned the coveted CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation.  Less than 5% of the Realtors in the nation hold this designation due to a lack of the prescribed number of transactions required.  This designation means ‘experience’.  Like any other field of endeavor, experience is one of the most important factors.  I am very proud to have earned this designation and it is considered being our Ph.D in real estate.

The combination of experience and education is invaluable in a real estate transaction whether buying or selling real estate.

Personally, I have raised three children after having grown up myself in North Texas.  I moved to Austin in 1963 and have personally watched the Austin area explode.
